Gabriel:
His history is a long one. He's known Angela since they were both children. (His mother, Deborah, and Alice Purling were friends on Trael since they were kids and when Alice got married and moved to Earth. Hannah and Alice would visit each other and bring their kids along. So then her children wouldn't go around and tell about Abilities, therefore being ridiculed--and because her daughter Cindy has been diagnosed with autism--they aren't really allowed to be on Trael.) He'd come to visit the Purling family with his mother. There were times when Angela and he didn't get along, but most of the time they "played" together splendidly. Angela did always think that he was weird. Like he didn't know--when he first came over--how to he didn't know how to turn on a TV or what soap detergent was or how to make Instant Noodles. But he doesn't know any of those things because he is kind of a fisherman's son. Only he fishes for many kinds of different fish that we don't have on Earth. He's a Traelian.
I've tried to go over his bio again and again, but he is still rather a mystery to even me--which is very very sad. He is the son of the brother of the King and is now Duke of Rein--a large port on the southern side of the country at the base of a river. His port is constantly under attack from pirates and raiders, and so there is a large quantity of soldiers at his homeport as a way of life. They do have orders to stay out of the way but there are those few times when the "mean fishermen" tackle their pride and their ends up being a brawl, most of the villiagers their don't really like the soldiers, even though there are a few that actually come from the city itself.
Gabriel, since the horrifying death of his father--who was killed by Tobias for revenge on his own father's death--hasn't used his Ability more than he's really had to. He's rather scared of it and really sees it as something that is too powerful to use. His Ability, which is rather complex because he is able to do many things such as: Empathy (ie. to read the thoughts of, or to mentally communicate with others), Telepathy (ie. to read the thoughts of, or to mentally communicate with others), Memory manipulation (ie. to erase or enhance the memories of another), Mind Control (ie. to alter the perceptions of others, and general ability to control the actions of others with the mind). Although he has lots of other gifts besides Mind Control, he is most scared of that one and feels like most of his Ability is in that instead of the other benifites of everything else he can do. Because of his Mind Contol part of his Ability, he is considered one of the most powerful beings there is--Tobias and him are tied for this "honor."
When Gabiel was young and just barely starting in his "knight training" he quickly became friends with Tobias. Tobias was an older boy--just a year older--and so Gabriel looked up to him. They had practically the same Ability, so was thought at the time, and so they were put into lessons together with Lord Master Nysaliph as their Mind Instructor. They stayed friends for a long while until Tobias' father got killed by assassins--their buyer was an extremely bad man, and the first man Tobias ever killed. Gabriel and Tobais were about 15 and 17 at this time. But because Gabriel didn't do anything to help Tobias' father when he walked down the alley just off the market and saw them killing the Count, Tobias blames Gabriel for his father's death. Gabriel's father had tried to console his son and get him to use his powers but Gabriel refuses for the longest times. He goes through his exercises with Lord Master Nysaliph but outside practicing he won't do. (By this time, Tobias has "graduated" from school and is working on his revenge tactics toward Gabriel and the Assassins master.)
After school ends for Gabriel and he becomes a "knight"--at about age 17--he wants to get away from everything. He spends two months with Angela and her family and really gets to know them. Angela is young and he's not that much of a cradle robber so he has no intentions of wooing her at all, she however has the largest crush on him and everyone knows it. he would spend hours in the back yard training--he has no patience for TV. Tony became curious and wanted to do the funny "yoga moves" with him. Angela would dance around showing off her gymnastic tricks and climb trees and just try to show off in general. Jessica wouldn't bother with him at all, but would stay inside and read her books. They spent a lot of time together and things were fun; they went on outings to the ocean, on hikes up the mountains, and all over the place. It was a good break and their wasn't another one like it for quite a while.
He got a message from the King calling him to Duty. Since he had just become a "knight" it was his duty to go to arms and battle against their northern enemy. So he's been off to war for the last six years, coming on and off of duty every year for a little break but then would be sent right back to the front to beat off the "northern barbarians." The war has just ended or is on a kind of peace laps for the time being.

C.F.M.S. Kimi and Haru
Haru and Kimi. Oh these two have changed their name so many times. First Lilly, then Michelle, then Sarah, then Mizuki, then Rin. I've decided on Kimi. And Haru was Mike. Their parents are orthodox Japanese. Their parents are extremely orthodox Japanese. Kimi embraces her heritage as her parents would want, but Haru does not. He enjoys the livelihood and freedom the being in America brings.
Kimi: She has had a hard last few months--before the books even begin. Normally she is a very caring, loving, quiet, thoughtful, charitable person, however, she was attacked. One night after close up at the library, she was walking to her car when some bboys from her school cornered her. She was caught between a closed door and a wall of screaming testosterone. Haru met her before the library had actually closed and he was coming around the corner as the men started to make a move on her. He fought for his sister and punched out the ring leader. As soon as the leader was down the rest scampered off. Haru picks up his sister every night from the library after she getts off work because sh eis still terrified of going out that back door again. They have kept the insident under raps so not even Angela knows. It's hard for her to talk about.
But she is destend to fall for Tony. She is best friends with his twin, he is attractive, kind, caring and compassionate--to name a few qualities. They are veyr much opposites in their Abilities though. Where as Tony heals people and prevents them from dying if he can, Kimi helps those who have pass away finish their unfinished business. She first realizes her power after they get back from Trael at the end of the first book and get to the hospital and/or Angela's and Tony's house and get the news of Angela's mom. The only problem is that Kimi sees Angela's mom standing next to them. So she doesn't believe them. It ends up causing Angela's father a lot of stress and because no one believes her she runs out crying. Gabriel, however, can see through her eyes and sees the ghost of Alice Purling. He comforts her and explains. They walk in together and explain what is happening to Angela's dad. Tony's eyes open at this point. Even after seemingly hurting his father, but actually being able to talk to his mother he is comforted. (Something like that happens.) And they end up getting together and married after a while.
Her kids are going to be important too, although I don't exactly know how at the moment.
Haru: So I've had a break through with Haru. For the longest time he was just the guy who drooled over Angela and was possessed by Tobias and was a real flat character, now he actually has an Ability. I know, it's about time. He has the power of Empathy--he can how other people feel around him. When his sister got attacked by the men at the library, he was coming around the corner and before he could actually see his sister and the trouble she was in he felt her terror. At first he thought it was weird, but when he jumped into action he didn't really remember it. He was just so very concerned for his sister. However, he has his Mind Opened, and in doing so thought that it was too simple of a gift. It wasn't like moving things or talking to dead people. He wanted something like that. He felt so outcast, although he wasn't really, and rather quickly left the group and followed his parents back to Japan while his sister was going to stay in America to go to college. He ends up traveling a lot and really tries to hide his Ability, although at the beginning it's really difficult.
One night while he is walking home from a friends house (the location is currently unknown) he gets the same feeling of terror and fear. He recognizes it and does an insta-flashback to Kimi's attack. He tries to run away from it, but it grows stronger like he's coming closer toward it. He starts running away from it again only to have it start hurting his chest. Haru retraces his steps a little and finds a girl in an alleyway leaning against a garbage can in the mud with her eyes wide in fear. He feels so bad for her. In the way she was tossed and left over, there was only one thing that could have happened to her. It starts to rain and he takes off his jacket and placing it on her before carrying her to the hospital--after calling his friend and asking what to do. She was checked for rape and found that she was. His parents call and find out where he was. They practically order him to come home, but being the rebellious boy that he is, he stayed at the hospital and watched over her as she slept. He hears the nurses talking about him, he talks with the police, and when he finally gets a moment to think about where he is--he hates hospitals because emotions are so high and it's hard for him to control his Ability--he feels everyone's emotions and starts freaking out because it's just so much. (Over the past while, he's become more of recluse because he hasn't tamed his Ability and so sometimes he ends up taking a lot of drugs to make the pulses dimmer. (IDK if they are hard drugs. . . They might be.) He also smokes to cool his nerves.) But strangely he stays with her and he helps her--because a counselor tells him too, that it would be good for her.
[They end up getting together and have a whole big drama when he says that he has a 'superpower' and that 's how he found her. Weather they stay together or not is unknown. They do break up at first, but then they might get together again. He does become more and more of a recluse and hates his Ability even more. (I could make him stay that way, but that would be very sad.)]

C.F.M.S Tony
Tony. Good old Tony is the same as always. Where Angela tries to be kind, but ends up hurting the people she cares for instead, Tony does very well in this area. If he wasn't trying to be a doctor, he'd try to be a psychologist. All he wants to do is help. That can be a down fall. He's one to put others far in front of himself even if it means getting in the line of fire, which is harmful for his health.
Tony is a lot like his sister physically. He is rather small, but still on the taller side of average. About half a foot in difference. His red hair is always in shambles and he normally runs out of the house without even looking in the mirror. That is mainly because he's worried about getting his Associates Degree in high school. He likes to be social too and has many activities going on, so his studies tend to be pushed until 3:00 AM sometimes. He has been known to walk out of the house in the morning with the same close he had on the day before only slightly more wrinkled.
His Ability is something that he wouldn't exchange for anything. He is a Healer. Much like the way Tamora Pierce has in her Wild Magic books where the main character can heal the animals she is around, Tony can do the same but with humans. With his background in biology and with him actually trying to become a physician in the first place as a career, he is one of the best Healers in the universe. He does get the chance to study with some of the best minds in his field, on Earth as well as other planets--where he sees Jesse after years. I believe she even has a son in her arms, but she quickly makes a get away before he can say "Hi" or something.

C.F.M.S. Jessica
Jessica, in the other draft, was the trouble-maker sister. The one that really needed someone to look after her. She was the punk kid who had nothing going for her except her boyfriend who was trying things no good boy would do.
Now, she is more like her sister than either one would ever admit, even though they are very different. She is athletic but in a different way than her sister. Instead of being ballerina thin and being able to practically double jump in the air like Angela, she plays softball--shortstop--and is willing to tackle someone to get the football or dig for the volleyball. She isn't scared of bruises, "Bruises show the adventure." She is sarcastic and very good with words. She doesn't need long sentences to get her point across, short precise answers are her forte, and causes her sister to be easily blundered.
Her build is more broad than Angela's, people aren't scared of breaking her with a touch. She is average height with light brown hair that in the summer sun gets natural highlights and it waves, it's neither straight nor curly. Her eyes are dark brown except for a small circle of gold in which her puples would be lost in the brown without it.
Where her sister is a social bug and is constantly buzzing with friends, Jesse is a scholar. She prefers coming to the library and finding something new in the non-fiction section or curling up at home in her room with a classic or new fantasy adventure. The new books that most teenagers like to read she finds boring and dully repetitive. Her closest friends are the librarians--Angela's best friend happens to be one of them and is so much nicer than her sister.
With having so few friends life can be pretty lonely and with her sister constantly picking on her all the time and sometimes forgetting her--a slip up in her motherliness--it makes it even worse. Jesse is on a softball team, but none of the other girls really like her and she can't figure out why--because they are jealous and are ostracizing her (they did just come out of Jr. High schools). She may have a friend here or there in a class but only when there isn't anyone else for them to hang out with. So, when Cole comes along one rainy day when she is walking home from school, she doesn't quiet know what to do and goes a long with him. And as he interacts with her she starts to have a crush on him, however, she is hesitant because all everyone else seems to do it torment her. She is right to do so, but her walls start coming down. After he hurts her so badly her walls are reinforced fifty fold and will take a lot to get to come down.
After being hurt by Cole and threatened by Greg (Ehehehehehehehehehehehe!!!) she meets Airo. Oh, Airo. He saves her and runs away. She calls her mom for a ride but then gets hit by a speeder driver. She thinks her mom is dead, although she's really not, and Airo picks her up on the side of the road, she is huddled in a ball miles away from the wreck. And she never really knows what happens to her mother, because Airo takes her away and goes on their own little adventure. In this she also meets Nik who turns her world upside down.
Her Ability is something that I just figured out because of my bestest friend. She can absorb light. You know that kid on Sky High who is like a glow stick? Yeah, it's not like that. She absorbs light and keeps it in her eyes until she needs it--although only holding so much. She can make little light balls say in tunnels or in dark rooms to illuminate her surroundings or say if she gets angry and needs to get away from something she can pulse the light out of her body and blind everyone or cause a huge explosion. She knows something is wrong first when Greg attacks her and then again when she is kidnapped and is completely scared. Awesome!
